What if I start missing you and you cannot be found. I think I already do… but life does not come with a PC’s control-Z – the undo command so I will just have to brave the consequences of my decision.

Merry and Bright

December 25, 2006

It’s the morning of the 25th and lo! Splitting headache from too much alcohol and a bloated feeling. Well, tis the season to be merry and also to overeat.

To you and you — you have made my year interesting. No matter how you did it, I thank you.

subtle hints and strong hints

December 14, 2006

Jude has been hinting that he’s getting me something nice and glitzy for Christmas. He’s been at it for some time now and rationalized that jewelry is a good investment. I lost the gold bracelet that he gave me when I was 22 and he was upset over my seemingly lack of house and memento keeping skills.

The idea is crazy and my husband is the one guy who does not know or appreciate the element of surprise. He’s like that, he would tell me what gifts I should expect from him and would even field for suggestions, ideas. No surprise, yes but you get what you asked for and what he said he will give you. Here’s the random list of what I got from him over the years: a phone with camera and music, an oven with top burners, exercise gadgets, electric mixer, a queen-sized bed. He is very practical and I am, too. And my pragmatic self is debating with my sentimental self… should I go get my ring size and announce it over dinner? Should I pick and decide on the stone? Or should I just wait and be disappointed to get an ugly pair of earrings or a dowdy bracelet?

I know it’s the thought that counts but don’t you sometimes wish… sshees. Hahaha!

working from home

December 12, 2006

I am sick with the kind of cold that is as stubborn as I am so instead of going to work, am here typing away at my home PC. But with two horned and bat-winged toddlers I cannot expect to accomplish much. I have all two of them climbing all over me, wrestling each other for a chance with the mouse and the keyboard.

How do you diffuse toddler’s energy and need to maul each other.
